Be slashes prices on broadband deals

10th October 2007

Be has cut prices on its existing stand-alone broadband offers, in the face of increasing competition in the broadband market.

Be’s Unlimited deal will now be priced £18 per month - down from £24 - and offers subscribers download speeds of 24Mbps, upload speeds of 1.3Mbps and unlimited downloads.

Meanwhile, the Be Pro offer will drop from £40 per month to £22, for a service which promises download speeds of 24Mbps, upload speeds of 2.5Mbps and also has no limit on downloads.

The Be value bundle entry level product, which the ISP claims has garnered a 400 per cent increase in uptake since its launch in August, will remain at its price point of £14.

All three deals include free round the clock customer and technical support.

News of the price cuts comes as Be earlier this month confirmed that it has extended the coverage of its service, meaning that 75 per cent of the UK’s potential subscribers will be able to access the firm’s broadband service.
