T-Mobile to up speeds

T-Mobile has announced plans to increase the speeds on its mobile broadband network.
The provider has detailed its new HSUPA fast upload network - the first of its kind in the country - which will allow customers to upload photos and videos at speeds of up to 1.4Mbps.
Speeds of the 3G Network in the London area are currently being upgraded to 7.2 Mbps, with cities outside the M25 set to enjoy the benefits by the second half of the year.
T-Mobile’s head of internet and entertainment, Richard Warmsley, commented on the recent findings by PC Pro which named the provider as possessing the most consistent connection in the country.
He said: "That’s important to people who love the freedom they get with mobile broadband but want reliability too, for instance when they’re uploading a video for friends and family."
Last month T-Mobile decided to cut the cost of using its mobile broadband network abroad by 80 per cent, in the wake of guidance from Ofcom.
