Customer reviews
-
My broadband connection with Eclipse is very poor, the support staff cannot agree on what the problem is. The download speed has decreased markedly, since setup. Customer service is very slow. NO WEEKEND OR 24 HOUR COVER!

-
I am very happy with Eclipse. Fast broadband and good customer service, no reason to complain in 2 years!

Fed up with poor speed and customer service. The service was excellent six years ago. This year its a nightmare. I tried different tariffs but 80% of the time I was getting up to 1Mbps, 15% up to 3Mbps, and 5% of the time up to 5.5Mbps. I was paying £29.99 for the top home broadband plan of 8Mbps. Just got my MAC key and moving.

I have been with Eclipse for broadband for a number of years now. Last year I took up their offer of having the Talkmore package where I get evening and weekend calls for five pounds and the cost to any mobiles or international calls added on top. A year later they realised they hadn't charged me for the Talkmore service an oversight they called it and sent me a hefty bill for £210. I wasn't happy but I will always pay for whatever I use. On talking to their collections team I agreed to pay it off in three installments of £68.43. Which is fair enough. After paying off two installments they then cut my broadband off only re-connecting me until I payed off what I owed even though I was up to date with payment for my broadband usage.

I’ve been with Eclipse for a while now and I haven’t felt the need to move to a different provider. They offer great value for money across their packages–and I’ve tried a few. It’s really easy to switch to a different option to find the one that works for you. I’m now on a package that includes wireless and it’s been really reliable–I hardly ever lose connection.
I have recommended Eclipse a few times to my friends, and some of them have now joined up meaning I’ve received £30 each time–bargain!

I was initially a bit unsure about going with a company I hadn’t really heard of, however Eclipse have been a real find! Their customer service team are really friendly, and you don’t feel like you are just a number with them.
Their beginners’ package offered real value, especially as the router and activation were included in the price. I recently enquired about upgrading to wireless, which seems like it will be an easy process. A customer service representative called Gary replied online almost instantly telling me everything I needed to know.

I was so relieved to have found Eclipse–their no-nonsense approach to Broadband was very refreshing. My previous provider was so unreliable in terms of connection–their customer service wasn’t so hot either, and I was often passed from pillar to post. Eclipse have been extremely helpful, advising on the best package to choose and helping me to get started. Which is actually the only time I’ve needed to contact them. If I need to view my customer account, I just look online.

I have been with Eclipse for nearly a year now and had no problem with them or their service whatsoever. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
The only minor error they made was that they increased their monthly charges without informing me.
Other than that, I strongly recommend Eclipse.

Company history
Eclipse Internet is a UK-based ISP which operates from Exeter, Devon. The company is best known for its fantastic commitment to its customers and, consequently, the unbeaten customer satisfaction response. For example, 90% of existing customers say they are so satisfied with Eclipse’s reliability and support that they would recommend the ISP to friends and family.
The company was established in 1995 and specialised in providing dial-up services to homes and businesses in the South West. Since then the company has expanded and now serves customers right across the UK, providing both dial-up and broadband services.
Eclipse first began to provide broadband services through BT’s existing ASDL service in 2001. By 2004 they were bought out by Kingston Communications and a year later began providing combined digital services, providing excellent rates on digital television, landline and broadband packages.
